How to Structure Your Creative Strategy (comesw/ a Free Trello Board Template!)

🚀 What's good yall

This is the go-to source for the latest e-commerce trends, insights, and my personal take on what works (and what doesn’t) after being inside some of your favorite brands for over 5 years. Let’s dive in…

đź“ť How to Structure Your Creative Strategy (with a Free Trello Board Template!)

Let’s chat about something that trips up even the most seasoned marketers: structuring your creative strategy as you scale. Scaling with creatives is no walk in the park, and it comes with its fair share of pain points:

  • Managing Volume: As your creative output ramps up, tracking multiple projects and versions becomes a juggling act.

  • Team Clarity: Ensuring your team knows what needs to be done, who’s working on what, and what stage each task is at can get messy—fast.

  • Feedback Loops: With higher output comes more rounds of feedback, revisions, and risk of communication gaps that delay progress.

If any of these sound familiar, you’re not alone. To tackle this, I’ve put together a simple Trello board template that has helped my team stay on top of our game. It’s structured with key lists: New Request, In Progress, Quality Checking, Needs Revision, and Finished. This setup keeps everything organized and visible, so you’re never left wondering, “What’s the status of that ad?”

Use this template to streamline your workflow, delegate more effectively, and minimize those “where is this at?” moments. If you use it, let me know how it works for you! It’s great for any team size with a few editors.

đź’ˇ Pro Tip of the Day

Remember, the key to a solid creative strategy is a streamlined process. Start small, implement structure, and build from there. The right system can save you countless hours, reduce mistakes, and let your team focus on what they do best—creating amazing content.
