0️⃣ Are you aware of zero-click content?

Gone are the days when clicks were the holy grail of online content. Enter the era of zero-click content—a revolutionary approach that demands our attention.

But what exactly is zero-click content? It's the type of content that spreads its wings without relying on the customer’s click.

Surprising? Yes, indeed.

So, why should you dive headfirst into this phenomenon? Let us enlighten you. 👇

First and foremost, the world has changed, and people have changed with it.

We live in a whirlwind of business, constant distractions, and juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.

You know the drill: scrolling through Instagram while waiting in line, sneaking in some LinkedIn peeks between work calls, or silently indulging in TikTok escapades while cradling a slumbering baby (volume turned off, naturally).

In this fast-paced reality, consumers crave bite-sized content that delivers instant gratification.

Gone are the days when your audience had the patience to click through and consume your painstakingly crafted 2,000-word blog post.

Unless you manage to convince them that it's absolutely worth their while, those days are numbered.

Impatient and time-strapped, people yearn for directness. Pronto.

As consumer behaviors morphed (or maybe it's the cause?), content platforms swiftly followed suit.

Google constantly updates its results, presenting users with enticing images and jaw-dropping snippets of information.

No need to click anymore—answers are served on a silver platter.

Mind-blowingly, more than two-thirds of Google search results now bypass the click entirely!

And it's no secret to savvy digital marketers that social media platforms are deeply enamoured with this zero-click concept.

They prioritize native content, dabble in "penalizing" external links, or even go as far as banning them altogether. Their aim? Keep users firmly within their captivating grasp.

While these changes cater to user convenience, they present a perplexing challenge for online businesses.

In a world where clicks equate to cash but are as elusive as precious diamonds, what's a marketer to do?

Evolve with the times.

👀 New IOS 17 tracking Update - What to look at.

iOS 17's automatic removal of click-tracking parameters is aimed at improving user privacy by making cross-site tracking more difficult.

It targets privacy-violating tracking technologies that use tracking parameters added to links to evade Safari's tracking mitigation measures.

How this affects you

1. Impact on cross-site tracking: iOS 17's removal of click-tracking parameters makes it more challenging to perform cross-site tracking at scale. This can limit the effectiveness of certain tracking technologies used by marketers to monitor user behavior across different websites.

2. Different treatment in Mail.app and Safari: The parameter stripping is performed by Mail.app, the default mail client in iOS, rather than Safari. When links with tracking parameters are shared or copied in Mail.app, the parameters are stripped. However, links with tracking parameters in Safari seem to remain intact when followed or shared, even in private browsing mode. Marketers should consider this distinction when planning their tracking and attribution strategies across different platforms.

3. Focus on large-scale marketing and social media attribution: The current target of iOS 17's parameter stripping appears to be primarily aimed at the large-scale marketing and social media attribution marketplace. This suggests that Apple's focus is on limiting PII sharing practices in those contexts rather than affecting click tracking and attribution by email service providers (ESPs) or email marketers.
